NEW CLIENT INFORMATION: FEES, PAYMENT, ETC.

GUIDANCE FOR POTENTIAL NEW CLIENTS
Establishing a relationship with a new client is always a process. The first step is to email me and inquire about availability. I usually ask about payment and scheduling issues first to make sure logistics won't get in the way of our work together. I offer a free 30-minute consultation on Zoom to all new clients, so we can meet, get a feel for each other, explore what is needed and determine if we are a good fit to work together.

FEES
My standard fee is $250 per 50 minute session (a sliding scale may be considered in cases of financial hardship; the average fee is between $150 and $250. Don't hesitate to ask if the full fee is unaffordable). Longer prorated sessions are also available to do EMDR and as needed.

INSURANCE
I do not accept insurance on an in-network basis. If you have out-of-network insurance, please check your plan for deductibles and requirements. I cannot ensure you will be credited or reimbursed for our sessions, but I will provide you with monthly invoices that provide all the information required for consideration. Most of my clients with out-of-network coverage do not have problems getting reimbursed.

FORMS OF PAYMENT
I accept cash, checks, HSA and credit cards. Payment is appreciated at the time of the session. For most clients, I keep credit card information securely stored in my encrypted system and charge the card after each time we meet.

CANCELLATION POLICY
I require at least 48-hour's notice for appointment cancellation. If less than 48 hour's notice is given, I will try my best to reschedule the appointment within the same week. If I am unable to do so, I will charge the full rate for the missed session.

This policy is necessary to sustain my practice financially as it allows me to hold space for you that I would otherwise be able to offer to another client. Please be mindful of the importance of regular attendance. I will do my best to accommodate emergencies and occasional illness without charging, but if a pattern of frequent cancellation arises, I will address it as a therapeutic as well as a financial issue.

PARK SLOPE PARENTS PERK
Members of Park Slope Parents will be offered a 10% discount on my regular fee of $250/50 minute session. The regular free 30 minute consultation that is offered to all new clients will still be offered as well. (This offer is valid for first-time customers only.)
