A WORKSHOP FOR INDIVIDUALS IN TROUBLED RELATIONSHIPS

…and WHOSE PARTNERS DON'T WANT TO GET HELP...

As the pandemic continues to dominate life, month after month, many couples are finding their relationships wilting under
the pressure. Whether longstanding problems have been exacerbated or new realities have proven hard to take, you may be
feeling hopeless about your relationship and logistically unable to separate
. When children are involved (whether little ones
or adult children who are now home with nowhere else to go), it can be even more complicated. It’s especially disheartening
when your partner refuses to engage in any way with trying to improve things.

SYSTEMS THEORY teaches us that when one person in a relationship changes, the other person necessarily must change
in response. In this group, individuals whose partners refuse to participate in the therapeutic process will come together
to discuss their primary relationships.

Using a combination of TALK THERAPY, ROLE-PLAYING, MINDFULNESS TRAINING and MUTUAL SUPPORT, GROUP participants will explore:

>THE IMPACT OF THE PANDEMIC on YOU and YOUR PARTNER
>SOURCES of RELATIONSHIP DIFFICULTIES and DISSATISFACTION;
>BLAME and POWER STRUGGLES;
>RELEVANT FAMILY of ORIGIN ISSUES;
>EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION and PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS.
>RESOURCES FOR EDUCATING YOUR SPOUSE ABOUT ADDICTION, DEPRESSION, ANXIETY OR ANGER DIFFICULTIES

WHEN: Wednesday nights WEEKLY from 6:30-8 pm on ZOOM (start date to be set asap)
>This group will be limited to 8 participants or fewer
